Drawship.io is a free, browser-based multiplayer game also distributed as a mobile app on the App Store and Google Play. This policy explains what information we collect when you play, how we use it, and the choices you have. We try to keep it short and honest.
Drawship.io ("we", "us") operates the game at drawship.io and the Drawship.io mobile apps. Contact us at support@drawship.io.
To run the multiplayer game we process the ship name and shape you draw, your position and score during a match, and the room you are in. We do not require an account or any personal information to play. Ship drawings and scores are not linked to a real-world identity.
Our servers automatically log connection metadata that any web service receives: IP address, browser/device user-agent, approximate region (used to pick the nearest game server), and timestamps. We use this to run the service, prevent abuse, and improve performance. Logs are rotated regularly and not sold.
We use PostHog to understand which features players use (e.g., how often a revive ad is watched). Analytics events are tied to a random per-browser/per-install identifier — not to your name or email. You can opt out of analytics by enabling "Do Not Track" or a privacy-focused browser extension; the game still works.
The game stores a small amount of preferences locally on your device (selected skin, last-used ship name, whether you have purchased the remove-ads option). This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly submit it (e.g., your name appears on the leaderboard during a match).
Some pages display ads served by Google AdSense. AdSense uses cookies and similar technologies to show ads, including personalized ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites. You can manage personalization at Google Ads Settings or opt out of third-party vendors at aboutads.info. Our authorized sellers list is published at /ads.txt.
The Drawship.io mobile apps show optional rewarded video ads through Google AdMob. These ads are voluntary — you only see one if you tap "Revive" on the death screen and choose to watch.
AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android) to select and measure ads. On iOS we request your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt the first time an ad is shown; declining still lets you play and watch ads, the ads are just non-personalized. Our AdMob authorized sellers list is published at /app-ads.txt.
You can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your phone's settings:
Each provider's own privacy policy governs the data they handle. We share with them only what is necessary to deliver the service.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. Because we do not maintain user accounts, in most cases the simplest way to exercise these rights is to clear your browser's storage for drawship.io or uninstall the mobile app. For anything else, email support@drawship.io and we will respond within 30 days.
Server logs are retained for up to 30 days for operational and anti-abuse purposes, then deleted or anonymized. Aggregate analytics may be retained for longer in non-identifying form. Local data on your device persists until you clear it.
We use industry-standard transport encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all traffic. No system is perfectly secure; please report any vulnerability to support@drawship.io.
If we change this policy materially, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, surface a notice in the game. Your continued use of Drawship.io after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
